"The disagreement that occurred, and the reason for the visit to the hospital ... was about other intelligence activities. It was not about the terrorist surveillance program that the president announced to the American people," Gonzales said.

"Mr. Attorney General, do you expect us to believe that?" asked Sen. Arlen Specter, the committee's ranking Republican.

On Thursday, Specter called Gonzales' testimony "devastating."

"But so was the hearing before that. And so was the hearing before that," Specter told reporters on Air Force One as he accompanied the president to a speech in the senator's home state of Pennsylvania.

That's what folks have said, I say asking that Gonzales be investigated for alleged perjury is doing something. It's a hell of a lot more than what you or I do.

See, that's where you are wrong. Think about it, they have the audio, video and documentary evidence that Gonzo's version of the sick bed visit and the reason for it don't comport with what actually happened. He didn't do the "I don't recall but maybe" schtick they are so good at these days. If the DOJ refuses the special prosecutor, they have impeachment proceedings, Pres/Vprz & AG and any one else that interferes with the legitimate investigation. What have they got to hide that they are hiding?

The federal government can't be overthrown until the military is on the side of the people and even then, we have the threat of the military taking over. The US federal government is like the Death Star, the ultimate power in the universe lol.

On a more serious note, revolution may be necessary and even likely as more people begin to realize that they have neither power nor freedom over or from the force of their government.

The President won't be impeached. There isn't enough time to get through all the bullshit. The Democrats are just trying to keep "scandal" in the headlines until Bush leaves in order to hurt the GOP in the November elections. I believe it will work and Hillary Clinton will be the next POTUS.
