US courts have ruled that because information can be fraud online, internet petitions hold no legal clout. You must physically sign and be a verified registered voter in the jurisdiction of the petition for a petition to be legal.
This is being done by the VA Governor and I assume he realizes the limits. The petition is asking for the Congress to re do the issue. It is only a request.
The State of Michigan did a similar one recently, where the Governor asked the people to sign. She got more than a million virtual signatures and sent it in. Now she is being sued for endorsing an illegal petition.
I personally don't want my tax dollars going to anything that has to do with dead babies. The private sector is spending millions to do that very thing (stem cell research)... why do you insist on making everyone pay for it, aren't we taxed enough?
Invayne, and Embryo is a baby at an extremely early age. No less human than you or me, just much earlier in the growth process.
It would depend to which theory you subscribe certainly I dont accept the "life begins at conception" line as such I dont consider an embryo to be a valid form of life.
