media bias: creating a template
post an article here and concisely state how the media puts a bias on the story.
My hope is to form a consensus and a template of how the media biases things, so that we can easily determine how a media source biases an article, and by what ways and means we can counteract that.
Or, just to understand the ways that the media influences public opinion.

the point of this thread is not to state there is a bias in some media.
The point of this thread is to show what form the bias takes, and to establish rules for determining a bias in an article. The purpose is to understand the universal principles that govern bias in the media. If we understand them, and codify them, it becomes far easier to use them to our collective advantage.

But specifically, HOW is it biased? What assumptions does it use? What biased premises? What forces, what feelings, what emotions, what institutions does it use to create this bias? What connections does the media make within the story itself? |
