First off, life ain't fair. Along Xenophon's theory, some kids have a greater capacity to learn than some adults. That I think is true. But not many kids are actually smarter or wiser than their teachers.

Banning tag: Makes more kids sure they can depend on whining to and welfare from those with power to gift them with money, which only makes them want more. Then they get more. This all starts with learning they can get what they want by saying they were "harassed".

Public Schools, as a whole, are intent on raising a generation of selfish, spineless, stupid, senseless, sexual aware snots. I've been home-schooled my whole life, along with the rest of my family, and I'm happy to say that we are a very tight family and we are all on the way to making good livings. Now I personally know alot of kids who public schooled and are smart, kind, and hard workers. And I know of some awful home schooled kids. But, personally, I'll always be grateful I was raised as I was.

well by my "theory" I didn't mean ALL kids were smart to begin with and certainly not ALL of them are small than adults. i was just saying that the assumtion that an adult is smarter than a kid in every case is retarded (my apologies for offending inkslinger.....jk). Who fights wars? Who is corrupt? Who thinks they are supierior just because they are "adults."
Most of todays kids are idiots. They go around like they are high all the time a just flunk school because they "just dont care" And even with the childs stupidity the PARENT is a moron also as they dont do anything!

Now back to tag. When I was around 7-8 tag wasn't allowed in school, or at least the one I was in. It wasn't for "harrassment" reasons though it was simply issued to stop ANY chance of kids getting a scratch and the school sued...

Now, what IS harrasment? My dictionary says this:

1.to disturb persistently; torment, as with troubles or cares; bother continually; pester; persecute. 2.to trouble by repeated attacks, incursions, etc., as in war or hostilities; harry; raid.
Well I dont think "come play tag!" is torment....pester might be the right word but CMON! I dont think we can sue people because they were annoying you
