Well, my wife teaches in a public school. Stays after with kids 5 days a week for one-on-one tutoring & then comes in on Sat. morning for 3 more hours of tutoring.

It sure ain't for the money.

Nor is she unique.

She just wants the little buggers to ACHIEVE!

anyways, yes, the right often does look for simple answers to complex problems. i know that. there is no simple answer to the problems in US schools. it will require a lot of work and such.

secondly, she was one of those teachers expected to perform miracles, so don't even start that shit with me.

yes, a lot of teachers do that, especially in the harder subjects.
