Default Stephen Colbert

So how does this work? The South Carolina Democratic Executive Council voted 13-3 to not allow Colbert to be on the ballot because he was not a viable candidate. Now, while I am not a Colbert supporter, and he was obviously mocking the system how can this be right? Shouldn't the voters decide who is viable or not? If Dodd don't drop out before the primary are they going to allow him on the ballot? He has 0% certainly he isn't viable either? What an injustice. This shit pisses me off. Who the hell are they? Can they decide that Hillary isn't viable as well?

If I were a member of the DNC or the GOP I would not him running on my parties ticket either. He wants to be a comedian let him run as an independant.

Did he get his entrance fees refunded?

Are you offended by the phrase “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance? Why or why not?

I can respect that, but it really doesn't matter what they want. Comedians, actors, doctors, they all have affiliations. If he feels aligned with either party he should ahve the right to run on that ticket. Hell, if he pays the fee he should have the right to run on both. When did we start letting the parties talk for the voters?

Al Franken's a comedian - they let him run for office.

Why?.......they like him better or something? Parties should not be the one's with that choice? If I ran, would I be viable? Or could I not run? Someone let me know how this works.

Qualifications to run for POTUS
1. Natural born citizen of the US
2. Be at least 35 years of age
3. Must have been a resident of the US for 14 years.
Nothing there aboout past or present occupation to qualify.
I think Colbert should challenge the SC Democrat Executive Council & sue then for denying him his civil rights.

They're scared of him. That's the real reason. They are afraid of the joke vote.
