Okay, you know, advertising happens. And the idea of an election-focused board isn't crazy, after all -- the bulk of election yakking could go there, leaving big-picture discussion on this board. I'm not against the idea of there being advertising at all, or that there is this ballot.com site advertising on this forum.

What annoys me a bit is scrolling past advertising fake replies to actual threads (and even a "sticky" thread pushing the site), and more to the point, that these are ads for a non-existent site. I've clicked on the silly link several times over the last few weeks and I keep getting "Under Construction." It seems foolish to try to drive traffic to a site that *does not exist.* (Yes, the domain name exists, but no vestige of the actual site is there -- placeholder pages don't count.)

And are they even planning to exist? I mean... the Earliest Presidential Election EVAR is about to begin and ballot.com still isn't up? What's the deal?

It used to exist. I am not a member there, but I know that a couple people here are. One of the admins on this site made a thread about that site and encouraged people to go there, and now it is advertised on every site..............go figure...............
