Default Bush Ponders Move to Bolster Economy

Quote:
WASHINGTON — President Bush said Thursday that he was considering whether to propose a stimulus package to shore up the economy, the clearest indication yet of a growing concern inside the White House over rising oil prices, the subprime mortgage crisis and the possibility of recession.
“I’m concerned about people losing their homes and paying a lot for gasoline,” Mr. Bush said in an interview with Reuters.

Asked if he intended to do anything more to help people stay in their homes, the president volunteered the idea of an economic stimulus package, although he said he had not made up his mind and would probably not do so until sometime around his State of the Union address, which he delivers on Jan. 28. Article here......
An open letter to bush;

Dear Mr. President,

It has come to my attention that you plan to help our dwindling economy. I have some advise if I may.

I would at first like to ask you to do nothing, you have helped enough. You and your policies have poisoned this economy, you have allowed the dollar to be devalued to record lows, your policies on the budget deficits have encouraged nothing but record debt, your free trade agreements have lead to record trade deficits, your tax loop holes has allowed for millions of good paying manufacturing jobs to be off shored, your open border policies has encouraged record amounts of illegals to drive down wages while driving up medical cost. No Mr. president you nor your administration are capable.

I would be derelict if I did not mention you bloating of the US dept of education, your inflated Dept of Homeland Security, your Medicaid Bill, tripling the size of the BATFE, your energy policies, and my pet peeve, your hiding the true inflation rate that was designed to make you look good and gave so many Americans a false confidence in you and our economy.

So in closing Sir, I beg you to keep your thoughts to your self.

Thank you, Sincerely A Concerned Citizen.

I would email this but I wrote about the energy problem and received by mail a mushy thank you from the white house. Man-O-Man

Talking Re: Bush Ponders Move to Bolster Economy

I havent read much of his proposal, however I have heard him saying something about congress passing some things to take care of the subprime mess.
I will tell you something, when I hear this shit It pisses me off to no end because now we are going to bail out all these people for their ignorance.
The only people it will hurt are the ones who were smart enough to stay away from such stupidity.

It makes me want to go out and take out a jumbo mortgage buy a huge as house and stop paying because the gov will bail me out.
sorry not trying to thread jack

The less they involve themselves, the better we are. But, even if Bush decided to take a nap for the last 7 years we would be domestically where we are at. But I knew that at 21. I mean christ sakes, I predicted this years ago and if I predict the next four year correctly we are fucked beyond anal bleeding leading to death. Of course, having a scapegoat makes us feel better so fuck Bush...right???

In the wild, there is no healthcare. In the wild healthcare is 'Ow, I hurt my leg. I can't run. A lion eats me, and I'm dead.' Well, I'm not dead. I'm the lion. You're dead.

Why can't we blame the current POTUS, VPOTUS and Congress? They're the ones playing with our lives and our money.

Everything I post is my opinion! So !

Not a Liberal, not a Conservative, not a Democrat, not a Republican........just a realist with an opened mind.

Simple as that. Don't do anything.

Bush is only paying lip service to the people. Only this time, most people know that it is BS. That fool actually keeps telling people that the economy is strong. He must me talking about the Bush Co. economy.

The Political situation in America = The light at the end of the tunnel has just gone out.

Yea. Fuck Bush. Billions of dollars used to extort Iraq would have stimulated our economy just fine.

Well since it is Bush's policies that set the stage for the disaster that is unfolding, yes he and his administration needs to be held accountable.

I am not asking much, just leave it to someone more capable.

What is it with the antiaccountability crowd.....Bushco and Bushco alone is repsonsible for the debacle of the last 7 years. To be sure there were mistakes before as well but 7 years is more then long enough to do something about things and all Bushco has done is make things worse.

That and his ever increasing the size of the federal government. Hell how about that $9 trillion debt, let alone the trade deficit. The devalued dollar, well there are way to many times in the last few years that it hits a record low.

But we should sit down, shut up, and take it!!
