Re: Evolution v. Creation
I believe God created the universe, but I don't take the story of creation literally. If there was no sun, and no earth to revolve around it, then how could a 'day' even be measured. If God is omnipotent, I don't think its a stretch to see him put into motion events that would create the universe, even evoloution. Since time is not a factor to the Allmighty, then what is the difference between 7 days and 14 billion years.
It would make more sense that God gave man the story of creation. It would have taken him a while to explain M-theory and Macro-Evoloution to stone-age man.

Re: Evolution v. Creation
I think it was God and the big bang. I think the beginning of Genesis describes the big bang. However, I also believe He created us in His image as the Bible says happened on day 6. I do not believe we got our complex world and our complex bodies through a random mixture of matter+time+chance. The way this world works is too perfect to be the product of chance.

You seriously think this type of things could happen in a perfectly working world?

Re: Evolution v. Creation
My theories on the universe are so complex I don't even think I know them myself so i won't even bother going into explaining them now. But I think that the Universe is like a sphere. It begins at a random point, goes around and starts all over again but turning at a different direction. What i mean is, the universe makes itself out of nothing one way or another (big bang is one theory, but i dont neccesarily AGREE with it) then die somehow, then make themselves again in an neer ending/begining pattern. I also believe that in our present form of the universe humans and all living things created God ourselves. You may have your fingers ready to type "wtf" but please hold...All living things (actually all THINGS but i wont go into that yet) have a "soul" shall i say (i say soul only for lack of a more proper word). Now souls connect with other souls through relations between them. I believe that if a connection is strong enough souls may "bind" or become one. (take mind that souls arnt physical, yet they exist. They are there, yet nowhere) Now "God" Is the hudge being that results in all living things souls connecting possitivily. He did NOT create us (IMO....no one yell at me please) or anything, we created him. He is connected to every thing on Earth and what Earth has touched (IE: the moon, Mars, space probes orbiting saturn, etc) and may draw energy from a source to effect a thing he is connected to in some way. For example he can make you feel sad. Or he can nudge a rock to make it fall down a hillside. No, he cant make things float or turn water into blood (IMO again). This is just a sliver of my theory though so if it seams confusion thats why and if it doesnt then good job or i did nicely explaining.

Surely if science confirms faith, then it is not faith any more? Faith involves believing without proof.
