I think you missed the point. Not everyone in a country can make a good wage. Someone has to dig the ditches, pick the cabbage and cut the grass. Those people will never make a 'decent wage'. Since American's are too educated or too lazy to do these jobs, Mexicans cross the border to fill those roles.

If cabbage pickers made a decent wage, perhaps even minimum wage, then no one in America would grow cabbage.

Sure they can. A fair wage doesn't mean overpaying workers. Open borders, "free trade" internationalism is what creates the problems you describe.

I don't know either...it's like debating the Constitution itself.
