How many precedents does it take?

I don't want to insult your beliefs about governemnt, really I don't, but to cry that the home school sky is falling based on just one justified case is jumping to conclusions, wouldn't you say?

No, I would rather say that they take one ridicules case and blow it out of proportion. Then take that precedent to many other cases. Would you not agree that is the way the legal system works?

No, I wouldn't. Rationality prevails.

To borrow from the book title, sense and sensibility.

Re: No More Home School For Californians
There's at least two religious groups that have called for a mass exodus from public schools because of the passage of that SB 777 bill, the gender-equality bill that CA passed last fall.
It's illegal to homeschool in some countries, and not every parent can afford private schools.
|
And the most sickening are the rush limbaughs, sean hannitys and thier neo-Con followers who are pointing every which way trying to deflcet the responsability of thier leaders who all have sworn to protect the law.
Yes they will point at clinton well guess what he was wrong too annd should have paid
BUT that dont make this any lesser of an evil

Re: No More Home School For Californians
There are different ways to get an education and scores and grading don't really tell the success of one. My school is a progressive private school and the high schools our graduates go to always say that we know how to actually think but we don't have grades at all-no numbers or letters or any. No STAR testing or anything like that, we have tests and quizzes but nothing super stressful. I don't think SAT scores really are a good measure.
