I've been enjoying it quite a bit, after getting over a blue eyed Anne and a brunette Henry. I like the interpretations of the characters - interesting slant. I do like natalie Portman's Anne in the series, though.

Portman's Anne in the series? she was in the movie version was she not, and not the series?....and from what I've read the movie is also inaccurate as it portrays Anne as the older sister and Mary the younger,

In fact, they don't know for sure which sister was older - though historically the ssumption has been that Anne was the younger, since Henry shagged Mary first (probably at the Field of the Cloth of Gold) after francis reported calling her his 'mare'. However, since none of the Boleyn children were royalty, there was no record of their birth. Anne's birth year has been theorized to have been from 1500 to 1507.
Portman's Anne was in the movie - and Phillipa Gregory was really writing about Mary, so she is the more favored character. I completely disagree with her portrait of George as part of a homosexual group - in all my years of reading on the subject, that is the first I've heard of that idea, and it did bnot make it into the move. As for the series and the movie not following history - I agree. In the movie there was no mention of the other 4 men executed for adultery with Anne - let alone Smeaton's torture and recantation.
In fact, this rash of dark haired Henry's does take some getting used to!
So, what specifically did you object to in the series?
