Default NHL Playoffs

Vancouver's season ends tomorrow with a meaningless game against Calgary. Playoff hopes were finally dashed by Nashville's win yesterday, giving them the 8th and final spot in the West.

Anyone else have a local team in and care? Predictions for the final?

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

I am waiting for my Red Wings to let me down once again. 4 President's cups in the last six years and only one cup to boot. I am pulling for the wings, but I have a feeling we may see San Jose take Pittsburgh in the finals.
An entertaining series along the way if it matches up would be the Capitals v. Penguins. The future of hockey right there.

I am a fan of New Jersey. I'm not sure how well they'll do, but I am expecting a good showing in the playoffs.

Got to a Hockey game and sit up high. It cannot be captured on Television. The game has great flow and wide positioning. It's a great game, just not a TV game.

Following the puck seems to be a major problem for new viewers. It just takes time. You kind of have to have a sense of where it should be.

My wife was cheering before goals after 5 or 6 games. Knowing that it would go in before it did.

San Jose and Anaheim both look good right now. I can't see anyone in the West who can take them. Detroit is always the best in the season but they don't have the goaltending of the hunger. They might go a round.

Washington vs. Pittsburg would be great in the East. People in other cities would watch just to see Syd and Ovie go head to head.

Really, with Van out I have noone to cheer for and with Toronto and New York sucking I have noone to cheer against. I'll just hope for good exciting games like Zara.

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

I was off-base about New York. Seems they took 6 of their last 7 or something like that and pulled off 5th place with great momentum.

Bastards!

Knuckles picks the West:

Detroit over Nashville in 7
San Jose over Calgary in 5
Minnisota over Colorado in 7, eh?
Anaheim over Dallas in 6

Knuckles picks the East:

Ottawa over Pittsburg in 6
New Jersey over New York in 5
Montreal over Boston in 7
Washington over Philidelphia in 6

Knuckles picks his ass:

San Jose to win.

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
