Universal Health Care
Universal Health Care looks to be the next big government entitlement. I'm interested in whether or not this is something people would tolerate. Is anyone really excited about it?

But everyone gets health care. We have free clinics, emergency rooms, medicare. What will Universal Health Care provide that these services don't? |

You may not believe this but I am on the fence with this issue, not leaning in any direction.
I would like the poor to get better than emergency health care, but lets face it the country is broke and I can hardly afford taxes now. |

Well if I was an American I'd be excited about it. I mean its only taken the country some 50 years to catch up with the rest of the developed world on this issue.

Hahaha and Canadians are greedy bastards when it comes to entitlements, at least more so than our American friends.
Thankfully most of our provinces will likely reform their health care systems to include a private system and choice on top of a universal state system - Both the US and Canada are approaching a middle ground on the issue which is always good, they're just coming at it from two different sides. |

Much of that is unfunded and guess what, if you have health insurance, you're paying for it at retail. ER's are inefficient and a horrible way of obtaining primary care, there is no continuity and its expensive really expensive, like doing all your grocery shopping at the Quick Mart. And did I mention that its expensive. |
