That argument would be valid if income inequality were alarmingly high. It's not, the worst estimates have America's Gini coefficient at 49. Unequal, but not staggeringly so. Median household income in 2005 was $15,900 for the bottom 20%, $58,500 for the middle 20%, and $85,200 for the 4th quintile. That's not bad at all, really.

No it doesn't. See above. If the 80/20 rule applied to incomes, we'd see 20% of the workforce making $140,000 a year and the remaining 80% of us making $9,000 a year. That's obviously not the case.

It depends on how they are qualify "millionaires." On paper, I am a millionaire. However, I do not have miilions. My salary does not reflect this; I live paycheck to paycheck. And if I do sell my company (of which I am a co-founder and from which my paper wealth arises), payment will likely come in installments. Due to existing tax laws, it is quite possible that if I do sell, I will owe more in taxes than what I will receive up front.

Hmmm...here in the Bay Area of California, that would get you a deluxe cardboard box under an overpass with a "lake view" (read sewer or water collecting hole to pee in).

Now,now CSC... the cardboard box option is for those who make $45,000 per year.
Those who make $35,000 have the "I stole this shopping cart" plan.

"The Bible has been used for centuries by Christians as a weapon of control. To read it literally is to believe in a three-tiered universe, to condone slavery, to treat women as inferior creatures, to believe that sickness is caused by God's punishment and that mental disease and epilepsy are caused by demonic possession. When someone tells me that they believe the Bible is the 'literal and inerrant word of God,' I always ask, 'Have you ever read it'?"

I would suggest that if this is the case a quick move would make a heck of a difference.Leave it all behind and move to the promised land. When they said the South will rise again they were not kidding.2 Adults (kids eat free in the south) can live like royalty on that kind of money.CSC I think we have touched on this before, once you pick up the lingo anyone would be good to go in a number of southern states. You do not have to be a millionaire but if you are, it only makes it that much better.
