Wow, this thread sucks. I can't believe you all are arguing over what la raza means for 8 pages. Looks like the literal meaning from the translator is race, but my spanish isn't good enough to pick out literal vs dual meaning words, so I have to go with common sense here. Why would a latino organization call itself "the race" when latinos are not a race? Oh, it's stupid mexicans you say? Got it, I've learned all I can here.

I'd also guess that anyone using an English to Spanish translator isn't the most knowledgable person on the subject. Try translating from Spanish to English "bullshit" and see what you get, my feeling is that bullshit really is supposed to mean shit, that comes out of a bulls ass.
