Ran a stop sign accidentally?

She had been through that intersection many times before and knew damn well that there was a stop sign there. So if you go through a stop sign "accidentally" and kill someone with your car, it would matter more if you were drunk than if you were just happilly stupid and didn't care about stopping?

So killing someone in that case, as Laura did, is okay with you and that family should just get an, "Oops, sorry I killed your son, it was just an accident. Okay, I have to go have more fun joyriding. Sorry again about your son. Bye!"

It's somewhat OT, but as someone who as watched a lot of CourtTV in the past, I've seen many cases involving drunk or impaired drivers, and have always thought it was amazing that if you kill someone while driving UI, you are convicted, but if being a really, really, bad driver comes naturally - it's okay. You don't even lose your license.
