The Illuminator Who is this person?
Default Does only Israel have the rights to have nuclear weapons in the middle east?

Hello people,

As we know Israel, with the major help of USA, has the worlds strongest nuclear weapons in the middle east, and as I know, 'none' of her neighbours have nuclear weapons including other nearby countries like Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Saudia Arabia, etc.

And yet we know that, Iran's efforts to grow her nuclear abilities, are receiving high amount of opposition with the suspicion of Iran's possibility to grow nuclear weapons.

I'm curious why the hell those opposers didn't oppose Israel when she developed and took nuclear weapons ages ago than Iran? Is it only Israel's right to have nuclear weapons? Isn't Israel a threat to her neighbours or other countries located in the region of fanatical dream of 'holy Israeli lands given to Jews by Yehova'?

What do you think about this issue?

My opinion is that if Israel has nuclear weapons, not only Iran, but also all of the countries located close to Israel have the rights to have nuclear weapons, because Israel is a more dangerous threat to that region than Iran, as Iranians don't have a schizophrenic dream of 'Iranian holy lands including the middle east and Anatolia given to them by their God Allah'.

I think if Israel wants nearby countries not to have nuclear weapons, she must disarm herself first and destroy her nuclears as a start, otherwise the one sided double standarded claims comes very funny to me.

Sincerely yours,
The Illuminator

The Illuminator

Democracy starts with allowing different political opinions to express themselves.
Fascism starts with killling all, having different political opinions than yours.
It's a pity for earth as it is full of fascists claiming to be democratic.

It's not about "rights".

If you have someone on ignore because you don't like their opinions, do us all a favor and just leave, moron.

Yes it is. All law and order depends on equal rights.

Do you believe Israel has a right to exist?

Yes or No.

"Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?' Expediency asks the question, 'Is it
politic?' Vanity asks the question, 'Is it popular?' But, conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?'
And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because one's conscience tells one that it is right." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Exactly. Exactly Exactly.

It's about Isreal's neighbors rights to the same national defense as anyone else.

Should they have nukes? No way. They should be banned and the ban should be enforced by violence. But enforced by nations that have nukes themselves? That's hypocracy at it's most disugusting.

Like a man with a gun refusing to allow others to carry a gun but demanding the right to keep his. WHo would ever take that argument seriously. It's nonsense.

Nations without nukes have every right to demand Iran not have any. US and Isreal are the problem, not the solution.

Does this mean might is right - equal rights includes equal armaments. I lived through the first missile crises, and they aren't fun. Personally, I think we should be trying to prevent the spread of nukes, and encouraging the monitored destruction - not encouraging everyone to develop them. Right now we are damn lucky that some places in the ME do not have nukes (or perhaps the missiles to send them).

Is it fair that only Israel has nukes - no. Is it the reason Israel still exists - yes. Would the world be a better place if there were nuclear war in the mideast - no.

Let me start off by saying that in 2000 I said, 'Vote for me. I'm an agent of change.' In 2004, I said, 'I'm not interested in change --I want to continue as president.' I'd rather neither had them - but I don't think giving them to everyone will create a safer world, either. For what it's worth - Pakistan and India have them - which leaves me holding my breath over kashmir on occasion. I think it wouldn't be a really healthy sitation if the far right muslims manage to get control of Pakistan.

A UN inspectors commission went to Iran and found NO evidence that Iran is lying. They confirmed what Ahmdinejad and Iranian officials have been saying from the very beginning.

Iran is trying to get cheap energy!

I think I can rely more on UN inspectors (the same ones who said Sadam had no WMDs - which turned out to be true) than on a US government with an agenda.

As for Syria, they're not a concern. They might be in 10-20 years but it's highly unlikely. Those are the only two countries around Israel that have anything to do with radioactive material at this time.
