Default PBEM Diplomacy

I've been trying to start up a game of Diplomacy with someone, and have discovered that it doesn't seem to be as popular on the internet as it used to be. Forums are the perfect place to play though - with pms and all that, so is there anyone here who could be up for it?

For those who don't know, Diplomacy is a classic strategy boardgame; in which players take the role of one of Europe's powers at the start of the 20th century (Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Austria-Hungary, Russia and Turkey) and try to dominate the continent. The rules are quite simple, and there are no random things like dice throws. You don't take it in turns, everyone submits orders in secret (for this we can use either an online bot or a neutral person who's willing) and then all are revealed at once. That's where the Diplomacy comes in - knowing how somebody else is going to move so you can be assured your southern flank is safe; or so you can partition an enemy without getting in each others' way. Obviously, lying is an important part of this game.

You can find a full copy of the rules here. If anyone else is interested in setting up a game - then we only need 7 players. You all know you want to!

Default Re: PBEM Diplomacy

I played that game a few weeks ago and I loved it, so I could be in the game. Even though I haven't finished the game I still learned how to play.
