I tend to lean towards the latter. Below are some great quotes from Parsley demonstrating that eh is more interested in dictating the policy of our government as opposed to teaching and following the words of Jesus Christ.

Now what does any of this have to do with his role as a preacher? Clearly the guy is obsessed with turning us into a judeo christian theocracy that would parallel the Islamic theocracies that he claims to hate. Why in the hell is he so right and they so wrong? Has anyone ever stopped to realize that the three major religions of the western world, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all have the exact same roots?

Ah... Ok... Rod Parsley is a major-league Pentecostal televangelist whose endorsement was deliberately sought out by Sen. McCain in the early months of the primary. Parsley later made headlines when he made highly inflammatory criticisms of Islam, effectively calling for its destruction. After these comments, Sen. McCain rejected Parsley's endorsement.

I had heard about the incident, but I'd never quite caught the name of the televangelist.

I view Parsley as a clone of Chuck Baldwin. Both are fat mouthed, bigoted racists who happen to be, by some measure, preachers. Neithers opinion is worth much more than any other white supremicists.
