Euro May Be Poised for `Explosive Breakout,' Citigroup Says
Quote:

July 2 (Bloomberg) -- The euro may be nearing an ``explosive breakout,'' reaching record levels against the U.S. dollar, according to a Citigroup Global Markets Inc. research note.

Here you are, if you really really think you should.
Well there should be little doubt about it, we will need to change over to the Euro, hell when you lose your currency do you regain your sovereignty??

Short term bitch of a problem but long term it will be good for US exports, 3rd party growth and a less adventurous foreign policy. Hopefully it will lead to a withdrawal from imperial military garrisons in Europe.

Actually a stronger Euro will tank the dollar. It is at its lowest point now, and falling fast. OPEC nations may not want the stuff anymore. That is not a good thing.
Cue up "The End", and crank it up as this crash is going to be heard around the world.

Looking over the usual suspects I don't think anyone knows what this means, too many cross-currents.

What does it matter? There is no gold standard behind the dollar. We could just quit using the dollar and switch to the Euro, or scratch the dollar all together and switch to an Amero once Canada, Mexico, and the US form their own union. You know how most people hate going to the dentist. Well, Socialism may be like that. Let's just go there and get it over with, then head out to the drug store to pick up our pain-killing prescriptions. (We'll need em).

Do the Europeans like the idea of a tanking dollar? No they do not and why? BEcause the US will kick their collective asses in the import export realm. Look.. We are working now. We have jobs. Our economy is doing pretty well. We have less than 6% unemployment. In Europe they have massive unemployment.

Are you nuts? It is YOUR administration that HAS tanked the dollar, nice deflection from reality.
