Great Britain and the U.S.A. both reached the peak of their civilizations through the principles of libertarianism (f.k.a. classical liberalism). In fact these principles are what brought most of Western Europe out of the Middle Ages and produced the most rapid growth in our civilization in all of history.

Walk outside, look around. Regardless of what your kind have perverted it into, it's because of our Libertarian founding that we have come this far. But as are many things in life, it's cyclical because the majority isn't smart enough to learn from the mistakes of others. So they sell out our prosperity and force us to repeat it all over again.

No country in history has enjoyed the hegemony we have. Now buried under the weight of the warfare/WELFARE (we spend a lot more on welfare by about 4X with $50T in the pipeline) it's fading. Lucky for you, there are still enough of us who haven't lost the will to be free and haven't sold our souls for the cold comfort of the state.

Please, just stay inside tomorrow and prey to your Obama alter and do not dishonor the sacrifice of those who gave it all so you can write your drivel.
I do actually agree with you on a number of points, but I have to say... there has been a lot in the news about "elitist" talk, but the above sounds more elitist than anything I've heard out of any of the politicians.

No, elitist is saying; "most people are stupid and therefor need a government to run their entire lives and take care of them from cradle to grave." All I am saying is that "most people are stupid, but stupid people are still better off taking care of themselves and running their own lives than having other stupid people taking care of them and running their lives for them." At least with the latter, the few smart people who end up advancing society and making it better for everyone aren't crushed by the tyranny of the mindless majority.

Unless, of course you can point us to an example of great libertarian civilization that "advanced society" for everyone.

And all along, save a few modest exceptions, the US has thrived with a two party system. During those halcyon days you mythologize, we still had public works and government largess applied to public welfare.

So far, the closest thing I can find to a great libertarian civilization might be some monarchies. But I don't think that's what you mean in your libertarian dogma.

But please do present an example if there is one. Libre says there isn't so I assume this is sort of like the Big Rock Candy Mountain.

A true democratic socialist country is an idealist idea and as a result, there has never been a government like that and there never will be one...

Really, everyone being free to pursue what they want as long as they don't infringe on the rights of others is the antithesis of libertarianism?

I already pointed it out, but the truth simply is too painful for you to acknowledge.

You try so hard too. Keep plugging away Davey.

Our own country was founded on libertarian ideals, individual freedoms & individual responsibilities. Read the L Party platform & compare it to the comstitutuion & BoR, pretty close if not exact. I just wish the Ls would put up a decent candidate. Harry Brown was good but they've sucked since then.
Then comes the Rs & Ds, we've been going to hell ever since.

The problem isn't with having two parties per se. The problem is with having two identical parties that suck.

Thanks for ignoring my post. Libertarianism is the reason you're not a serf right now.
