So what is everyone doing for the 4th?
I will be staying at home, having one of my world famous bbq's, to be followed by the traditional setting off of the fireworks. This year though, I will have a new member attending the celebration. My 6 month old grandson will be there to enjoy the festivities, so passing on the tradition to a new generation.
It normally starts off with just my family there, but before the night is over, all of the neighbors end up attending also.
Anyhow, just curious how everyone else will be spending their day.

I'll be doing what I do on every holiday: working. I have no close family here and no close friends anywhere. The cats are not terribly patriotic and believe that humans should never celebrate any achievement that does not result in somebody purring.

I'll be printing 500 shirts for tomorrow's "Hanover Tomato Festival". (I live in Hanover County). I made $3300 last year but expect better tomorrow because I'm offering multiple designs. Forty thousand attended last year.

Trying to unplug my kitchen sink. Watching it rain. Playing musical chairs with the cats - Bugerhead had 4 kittens last Tuesday in the basement and Oreo is imprisoned in the bedroom till we are sure he won't commit infanticide again. We take turns letting him out and shutting her in, etc.
I'll probably cut out some pumpkin lids as I put them on eBay.
Oh, and looking for a new avatar.

Tri cornered hat and naked? Ah, I see. You're having a traditional 4th of July Ron Paul look alike contest.
As for me, I'm stuck at the clinic on first surgical call. It's hospital cafeteria food for me today. What fun watching some pissed off, ugly 70 year old woman with a toothpick in her mouth ladle some third rate slop which they call "beef stew" onto my tray.

I'll trade you. I'll eat the beef stew if you come unplug my sink.
While your at it bring me some antibiotics and Neosporin. Last Monday I burnt my face with hot grease while browning some meat. I think it's getting slighly infected.
If I manage to splash Drano on the already burnt spots my day will be complete.
