Recently I've done a bit of soul searching regarding who truly is the best candidate for President. I've voted Republican consistently since the mid 70's and up until 2004 I was quite satisfied with Republican Presidents. But during Bush's second term I began to have misgivings about the Republican Party and its shortcomings, especially in light of the stagnation in Iraq. Mind you, I'm not a fan of all that the Democrats do either.

At any rate, I've been studying Obama's platform and I have come to the conclusion that his grasp of what it will take to mend the economy surpasses McCain's. I also like his plan for an intelligent, phased withdrawl from Iraq. Obama is a decent, young and articulate candidate and I believe that he'll do a slightly better job than McCain.

Fort these reasons I have decided to vote for Obama this coming November.
