Me too. But I agree with Zara that they got crummier as they went on. Why do a lot of video games pride themselves on making stuff so dark you can't see where your going? I don't get that.

I also like the Silent Hill series, disturbing as it is.

Hulk and Destroy All Humans are both good.

I like Final fantasy games, but I wish they'd shut up with the drama and romance. If I want to watch a movie I'll go rent one.

I liked 8 better. Better monsters and I thought the battle system was easier to figure out. Plus half the characters in 7 were dead weight. What was that white puffball thing supposed to be anyway?

8 was good, but it's magic system sucked. WTF? "Drawing" magic?

You are reffering to Cait Sith, who was the comic releif. I agree with you that he wasn't the most complex character around.

However, the other characters were fantastic, particularily Cloud, Sephiroth, Aeris, and Vincent.

The Delta Force series is very long lived, generating half a dozen titles,
and still has well populated servers.

Diablo is TEN YEARS OLD, with the last installment seven years ago, and
you can still buy a new shiny box set of it at the store today... nuff said.

The only continuous popularity of a major game older than Diablo I think
would be Civilization -- a game releasing titles since the era of the 486
chip.

Diablo III is coming out.

Battlefield series will always be one of my favs. Too bad EA sucks ass with pc games and pushes the games out sooner than they should leading to tons of crappy patches.

I hate EA. To them, it's stockholders first, gamers second.

My LAN party buds have been playing Delta Force cooperatively for 10 years. The latest version, Delta Force Extreme has all the original MAPs and a lot of new enhancements.
